Karshika Mela is an interesting agricultural fest organized by Gandhiji Study Centre. Karshika Mela is conducted at Thodupuzha every year to promote agriculture and agricultural products. It is conducted in the month of December and makes a positive impact on the growth of the farming sectors of Kerala. This agricultural festival provides information to the farmers about new agricultural products, crops, and so on. The chief attraction of Karshika Mela is the crop exhibition. Karshika Mela offers farmers a wonderful opportunity to present their agricultural products. There are prizes for those farmers who present the maximum number of crops. People can purchase agricultural products and other stationery items from the fest. Many specially produced agricultural items such as Coconut, Areca nut, Nutmeg, Ginger, Turmeric, Bananas, Cocoa, Tapioca, pineapple, Paddy, Pepper, Bananas, Jackfruits, and so on are presented at the fest. A variety of exhibitions such as Ox exhibition, Dog exhibition, Goat exhibition are also conducted in relation to the show.
